Northern Lights

Just a couple of hours ago the sky was on fire with the Northern Lights! It's not often we see them this far south and they put on a display to make you awestruck. I was coming home from Peterborough when we noticed the bright shaft of hot pink light across the sky, almost over top of us. The blues, greens & hot pinks were dancing across the sky, as far as I could see from east to west. Just magnificent. By the time we got home & grabbed camera equipment, the best of the show was over, but I was still able to grab a few of the lights as they slowed.
Enjoy!

Photo of the Day

Or rather a few photos from my day.

First, one little teaser from Vanessa & Dan's engagement shoot. Apparently Dan went out to buy a pair of jeans one day and came home with a motorbike! I don't know how he got away with that one. My guess it has to do with the size of the wedding and because he's a total hottie. Am I right, Vanessa? lol

Then, driving home some back roads and seeing that hilly road really made me want to be on a bike today too. Great day for it!!! Hope you got out and enjoyed one of our last super days.

Welcome Raedyn!

Congratulations to my dear friends Ryan & Patti, on the birth of their first baby! I was so lucky to go see her when she was only a few hours old. Teeny, tiny and I never had a newborn smile so much. She was born for the camera!

Emily & Tyler | WEDDING

Well its quite a change in weather from their engagements pics. And both those days were absolutely fabulous for beautiful pictures! One of my favourite parts of the day was taking pics downtown Peterborough and there was an old bike chained to the fence. Right when I said "that would be so awesome if we could use that bike"...the owner came out and let us do just that! Oh, I could have had an entire shoot with that old bike! lol
And I absolutely love the families of these two! And it's obvious that Tyler's parents love Emily as much as their own children. Wow. What a great family to marry into. Tyler's Dad hardly got 2 sentences out before he broke down, welcoming Emiily to the family and I was so choked up with tears I could hardly breathe and hold my camera steady. I was so relieved when a few other sobs broke the silence so I could sob too. I'm such a big sap. And one of my favourite pix of the day - Emily dancing with her Dad. He is deaf and I got her in the middle of "I love you" sign. Just plain lovely. OH..and the hilarious dance with the wedding party to open the night. Just too funny!!!

I wish you guys a wonderful, long life together.
